Blackberry Pearl Now on Amazon and Cingular

The Cingular Blackberry Pearl (AKA the Blackberry 8100c) is finally available on Amazon for $49.99 with a contract or $499.99 without a contract. Estimated delivery time is 3-4 weeks. It’s also available on Cingular‘s website for $199.99 with a contract. Previously available exclusively through T-Mobile, the Blackberry Pearl is Blackberry’s first major foray into a full featured consumer smartphone. While previous Blackberry’s were designed for business users, the Pearl features a 1.3 megapixel camera, a media player, and a microSD slot for media storage. With GPRS and EDGE, the Pearl can support up to 10 email accounts, instant and text messaging (AOL/AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, and ICQ), and a web browser. It also includes Bluetooth 2.0 and a built-in speakerphone. The Cingular Blackberry Pearl will work with Cingular’s TeleNav GPS service which enables trip routing for a fee ($5.99/$9.99 per month).
