Palm has just introduced its highly anticipated $99 Palm Centro smartphone and now you can be first one on your block to own one. This new smartphone, initially available on the Sprint network, comes in red or black (aka Ruby or Onyx) and features Palm OS 5.4.9, Dual-band CDMA2000 EvDO, a 320×320 color touchscreen, 64MB of availble storage, bluetooth, microSD expansion, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Palm is now accepting pre-orders and is also offering a free car charger and free shipping.

If you’ve waited for that new Treo, we have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that the new Palm Treo 755p is finally available to Sprint users. This new addition to the Treo lineup replaces the current Treo 700p with a smaller form factor (no antenna bump), built-in push-email, mini-SD memory expansion slot, and built-in Google Maps. The bad news is that despite a faster processor and Palm OS 5.4.9, this latest Treo is merely an evolutionary in the Treo product life.

Currently available for Sprint customers, you can purchase either a blue or burgundy Treo 755p for $279.99 with a Sprint plan from Palm. We will keep you updated as to when it will arrive at other retailers… hopefully at a lower price.

With the introduction of the Treo 680, Palm is seeking to reach a broader audience by delivering a colorful and more affordable Treo. Sporting a 320×320 65K color screen and running on an Intel 312 MHz processor, this quadband GPRS/EDGE smartphone features the Palm operating system and a full QWERTY keyboard. Other features include Bluetooth, speakerphone, and an integrated camera. Talk time is 4 hours and standby time is 300 hours. Unlike previous Treos, you can choose from four colors: Graphite, Crimson, Arctic, and Copper.
