RIM has revolutionized the way American businesses operate by introducing advanced wireless communications to the corporate masses. Through its now ubiquitous BlackBerry devices, executives, lawyers, and politicians stopped calling and started texting. Now, in its continuing expansion into the consumer market, RIM and T-Mobile just released the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 ($199.99 – T-Mobile Only).
The new lightweight T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl is a quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE world phone with all the benefits of a professional BlackBerry plus the features and technology we would want in our phones. For example, this is the first BlackBerry to include a camera (1.3 megapixel) and a media player with a microSD slot for media storage. Internet messaging and data functionality includes support for up to 10 different email accounts, instant and text messaging (AOL/AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, and ICQ), and a web browser. For easy communication, the BlackBerry Pearl comes with Bluetooth 2.0 and a speakerphone. At $199.99, it’s also a good deal for an advance phone.

In a day full of new product launches, Palm joins the fray with the release of the Palm 750v for Vodafone’s European markets. This latest antenna-nub-less Windows Mobile Edition Treo comes with quadband GSM and triband UMTS (finally, a European UMTS phone that may actually work in the US). With a 300MHz processor, miniSD slot and 1.3 megapixel camera, this smaller Treo could be fun.
We will update you as soon as we hear any news on Cingular‘s plans.

The latest rumor on the Internets suggest that Cingular will release the Nokia E62 on September 29 for a price “as low as $149” (with a new contract).
As we’ve discussed in previous posts, the Nokia E62 is the lighter version of the Nokia E61 (no UMTS, no WiFi) designed to make a run at the Blackberry market. The E62 should come with GoodLink preinstalled to power its email and PIM applications. Like the E61, the E62 will include a brilliant 16 million color screen, a thin but wide form factor with a big comfortable QWERTY keyboard, and one of the best mobile browsers you’ll ever see.

Since many of you responded to our recent quick look at the Nokia E61 and E62, we wanted to provide more information on where you might find one. We know that Cingular is likely to release the E62 in the fall and at this time we do not have any news on T-Mobile‘s plans. Regardless, right now you can buy an unlocked Nokia E61 and use it with either provider.
Here are some of the stores and prices for the Nokia E61:

As a T-Mobile customer I’m happy to share with you some of their good deals. My plan allows me 1000 nationwide Whenever Minutes for only $39.99.
T-Mobile’s hottest item today is the Sidekick 3 which is a great all-in-one-device. The design is very hip and has a beautiful color screen that flips to reveal a full keyboard. Instant messaging, email, address book, and web browsing are all integrated into a very sleek and easy to use OS. No wonder Paris Hilton and other celebs like to show off their Sidekick (usually diamond studded). Check out the specs and maybe even pick one up.
