Netflix has just launched a new affordable $5.99 per month price plan which will allows you to rent one DVD at a time with no more than two rentals per month. Like Netflix‘s four other plans (ranging from $9.99 to $23.99), as a new member you receive a 2-week free trial.
If you are not familiar with Netflix, it is the world’s largest online DVD movie rental service, offering 5.7 million members access to 65,000 titles. For the early adopters out there, Netflix offers many movies in the new Blu-Ray and HD-DVD formats. The concept is pretty straight forward. You add movies to your queue and you will receive these movies (up to the number you’re allowed to have at a time) via mail for free, usually within one business-day. Once you’ve watched a movie, simply reinsert it into the prepaid return envelope and mail it back. Once they’ve received your return, they will ship out a new movie. There are no due dates, no late fees, no shipping fees, and no commitments (meaning you can cancel at any time).
